The DJ who's not a DeeJay

Pinoys are bursting with music talent.  It's hard to find singers that standout when just about everybody has their own unique talent.   But one thing that really stands out are foreigners who take their talent and try it out on a Filipino song.  You gotta give them credit for their effort. That alone is impressive enough.   What more if they sing it as if it were a Filipino singing ?

That's why it was a very wonderful delight for me to discover this rendition of "Dahil Sa Yo" by Ernie Halter on youtube. He adds a jazzy touch to this traditional Filipino classic.

One of my favorite Michael Jackson songs is Human Nature. I love the melody and arrangement. Even how many times and ways this song has been revived, rearranged and performed, it's still a great song. I'd like to share Craig David's version of Human Nature with Michael Jackson and SWV's versions both fused together into a melodic acoustic performance. Enjoy !

I admit this song has been getting on my nerves.   I don't understand why this song has invaded my quality-line-up of Last Song Syndrome songs.  And just recently, when I told my friend about it, he gave me a youtube link of the commercial. OH NO !  Just when it was almost completely out of my system, it resurfaces again !

Ever wanted to imagine what your name would be if you formed a band ? Or what would the title of your album be ? Or what songs are on the album ?  Well you don't have to be musically inclined for this.  

I'm referring to my ballpen which I was able to consume to the last drop of ink. The Barry Manilow song comes to mind cause "we made it." To put it in a clearer perspective, I have a higher probability of misplacing and eventually losing a pen than consuming its entire ink capacity.

My ballpen ran out of ink while I was at KFC earlier today filling out a bunch of government forms. I had to buy a new one immediately. Too bad there wasn't any pen like the one I had... only some puny ballpens which I was forced to choose from.

The other day though, I remember using my pen while brainstorming for lyrics. And so I dedicate this to you, my beloved pen. Forgive me for I have to replace you. Do not despair, you have served me well.
