One of the lifelong experiences I am most grateful for is being a dad.
Being a father is a unique journey. For me, it has been full of quiet times of developing trust, like being there for him when he needs it or even when he doesn't know he needs it. Making the connection takes time, but being an only child myself made it easier for me to relate to how our only son grew up.
Serving as a role model also meant that I should strive to be the best I can be, because I want to set a good example and let my son be proud of me too. Along the way, the trials, challenges, triumphs, achievements, and everything in between collectively shape the experience of being a father. Throughout the course and until today, I have played many roles: a mentor, a supporter, a teacher, a reality checker, a source of positivity, but most importantly, an unconditionally loving father.
Thank you Miggy for coming into my life and letting me be your dad.
